Obama 2008 victory

Montreal Bloggers would like to congratulate Barack Obama for a great victory against republican John McCain. This victory means America has spoken and they want to take the country into a new direction. This young, charismatic and inexperienced politician raised and unprecedented amount of money to run one of the best campaigns in the history and pull a landslide victory.

With the democrats now controlling the presidency, the house, and the senate, the balance of power has shifted. This is one of a lifetime opportunity for the democratic party to pursuit their initiatives and agenda.

“We may not get there in one year or even in one term,” Obama said. “But, America, I have never been more hopeful than I am tonight that we will get there. I promise you, we as a people will get there.”

With the economy is shatters, an unfinished war, and America’s damaged image around the world, will this new young politician walk the walk?
